2D CHARACTER DESIGN

Animation, cartoons, comics, games, architecture, cinema, advertising… In all creative areas based on the principle of materializing envisioned frames, character design plays a crucial role. The creation of all the characters, places and objects, which form the basis of any creative project, is actualised via character design.

Those who want to work in visual development department, to form unique and special worlds by creating their own characters, to brace themselves for animation sector, and to improve their drawing skills, come together under our 2D character design education program.

Throughout the course that lasts for 3 months, the participants comprehend to put the characters in their minds on paper properly, and learn everything they need to know about being a good character designer.

During the course which only requires paper and pencil, besides creating characters, our students compose stories of the characters they created, and apprehend to analyze poses and facial gestures of the characters in a story.

Drawing their characters from many different angles, the students learn how to do three-dimensional drawing on paper in addition to 2D character drawing, and they practice different character design techniques for different areas, such as advertising, cinema, games, TV series.

Thanks to 2D character design education that is suitable for every age and knowledge level, the students add professional skills to their existing knowledge, and gain experiences which will help them turn their skills into a profession.

By the help of the course given by expert sector professionals, the participants learn how to create characters in accordance with different practices and aesthetic preferences, how to use form and silhouette while creating a character, how to create different characters by using different anatomical proportions, how to add personality to the characters by using costumes and accessories, and how to create characters with different styles.
